I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas this year! We celebrated the holiday in a "conservative" fashion, and had family gatherings that lifted my spirits despite the economic times! We have been blessed this year with health and new family members, and now I'm looking forward to the new year with anticipation of all those promises that come with the countdown to ring in the new year.
New Year's Eve has always been special to Rick and I. After we met we spent many New Years Eve's out at parties and formal celebrations. I guess it is our excuse to get dressed up at least once during the year! HA HA!
This year, we will be bringing in the new year at home, with family and friends. Even as I try to imagine how this will all come together in less than two days I think about the wonderful memories that will be created. Past new year celebrations included my engagement to Rick, my sister's promise of a new love (from the person who eventually became her husband), to both of those crazy guys dancing in my living room to Aerosmith (or some other rock band - I can't quite remember...), to having lots of champagne, and not to forget the famous night of 12/31/99, where Rick and I spent the entire celebration watching the world bring in the new Millenium from a hospital bed in the ER because Rick injured his back washing his car on that balmy, 60 degree weather!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!
